We have some great paddling waters right
outside our back door. From our boathouse on the pier in Waterfront Park you have immediate access to Eagle Harbor. The harbor is protected from strong winds and generally has flat waters, ideal for the novice.
A two or more hour tour will take you around
Blakely Rocks, where you'll paddle with seals, encounter all sorts of wildlife, view the Seattle skyline or picnic on a sandspit at low tide. Or paddle along Rockaway Beach to Blakely Harbor, visit the old sawmill pond and take out at our new park to stretch and explore.
For more experienced paddlers, Blake Island is a
favorite destination as a day tour or overnight camping trip. You may want to circumnavigate the island and camp in the Marine Trail sites at Fay Bainbridge or Ft Ward State Parks. |
